| 5 Hour tastes like crap, too, and yet it gets TV commercials Energy and vitamin drinks aren't quite like soda; they don't get the Sprite slogan, "Obey your thirst" because they don't deserve them XP | |

| In a way it does taste like redbull, but better.
I dont think redbull has anything in it that is good to the body, whereas Oronamin C has Vitamin C, B6, B1 or something....i cant remember now

| energy drinks are the worst invention these last days!! Its very dangerous, only giving you the impression that you have full of energy ans making your heart pump to fast for your actual energy level!! (sorry, hard to explain in english!! >_<) | |

| 5 Hour Energy is awesome for that problem, actually. It's tiny (about 2 oz), 4 calories, no sugar... It's pretty much all vitamins and amino acids with a dash of caffeine. When I took it I felt like my brain was going to explode, but my heart rate NEVER increased. I made sure to check it because I was THAT panicky. 5 Hour stimulates your brain, not your body, so it's an actual wave of energy and stamina, not an adrenaline rush.
(and for the record, I'm already energetic and jittery, so adding an energy drink on top of that was NOT a good idea on my friend's part. Never Again.)

| my boyfirend is a doctor and he says that taking, for exemple, 1 red bull is like drinking 5 strong coffees in a row!! So I guess if you take one red bull each 2 or 3 days isnt THAT bad even though its not very good, but I know some people who can take 2 or 3 red bull (or other brand) in the same evening!! Now 15 coffees can get you hyper I'll tell you and if not beating faster, your heart will have a harder time pumping your blood so its not very good for it...and eventually, you'll end up being even more exhausted after a few days of this so...
Anyway, I dont recommend it, thats all I really wanted to say!! XDDD!!

| Yello! Just dropping by to leave a random comment! ^^
Yukke is pretty much my darling when it comes to MUCC! ^^ But then again... I do have a thing for bassists... I even became one myself! xD
Anyways Yukke seems to be a sweet man. ^^ I had to mentally fight myself so that I wouldn't giggle at him at the signing at TOC in Stockholm... I told him "You're one of my favorite bassists" and you could really see the process of his mind! xD 1) Taking in the words. 2) Translating the words. 3) Understanding the words. 4) Smiling. 5) Reacting to the words! xD
He's cute. And I'd like to marry his electric upright bass. At the concert most girls screamed for Yukke and me and my friend were actually drooling over his bass... ^^
And I gotta start reading his blog... that'd be good practise for me with the japanese! xD

| The new banner is awesome. 8DDDDD I still want to know why Tatsurou is in a pig suit and there is a pile of unko under him and not next to Satochin. He always seemed to be more poop-obsessed than the rest. *snort*
Obviously, Yukke's new drawing was too adorable, therefore was destined to become my new icon for the forum. Lol!

| That has such an adorable style!! @__@ What is it about? I find it funny that Yukke reads all the "cute" looking manga, then goes and reads Detroit Metal City and Junji Ito stuff. *dies* I <3 him. | |

| I.. dunno about "cute".. I haven't read much of Oyasumi Punpun.. but the main character is this simplistic looking bird.. and its dad is abusive and killed Punpuns mom in the first chapter or something >_> Nothing else I've read by Asano Inio could be classified as cute either, lol. Though his art style is sort of cute (depends on the character) and love <3 | |

| Rocketeer: Well, yeah, the manga isn't cute with that kind of story...that's why I said "cute" looking. XDDD What a way to start out a manga, though...
Rivetspoon: Hey, variety isn't a bad thing at all! I'm not a big manga reader anymore, since I enjoy reading an actual book and not the scans online. I prefer anime now. I'm just as weird with my manga/anime selection, but I tend to stay in the realm of horror/suspense, scifi/fantasy...or...comedy. XD
I always see Yotsuba& floating around, and doesn't Yukke read that one too? It always looks quirky. How is it?

| It's adorable, I think. It's innocent and intelligent at once, and it's light hearted enough that having it in a collection might save one from stress every now and then. D: Her curiosity of life makes you smile. ^-^ I don't read scanlations;I hate reading online. Which sucks when they stop printing a book in the middle of a series before I get a chance to buy it :| Variety is amazing, I agree. *has as much Rammstein in her CD collection as she does Goo Goo Dolls* I should be translating. | |

| I may have to look into it then. :3333 Since I don't read online as much anymore, I don't find the good stuff and usually rely on suggestions. XD There is so much horrible anime/manga crap out there anymore that I'm almost afraid to look for myself. :/
Goo Goo Dolls <3 *looks at Spice Girls and Marilyn Manson CDs* Yeah, I feel you on that one. Ahaha! I don't know many people that are Jrock fans that don't have very diverse tastes in music, because you have to be open-minded to to begin with. :3

| I've met a few that are like OMG IF IT ARE NOT FRUM JAPAN IT ARE NOT GOOD MKAY, much like the ever fun, IF IT ARE NOT IN ENGLISH IT ARE NOT GOOD MKAY types.
So "open minded" is a vague description.
Between the cheap, out sourced animation and the lack of originality anymore (and I mean any SHRED of originality; everything's a copy to some degree), I've given up on anime. I stick with manga now because the art's typically better, there's no filler, no shitty voice acting and high pitched squealing, jiggly breasted whores, and I don't get nauseous from the over zealous use of speed lines in action scenes. That and it's all in black and white, so any and all use of gratuitous violence sees little to no censorship because it's not bright red ^^

| I feel you on the anime statement. Every season I search for something that looks original and interesting and am extremely disappointed by the amount I find. The anime that I do watch, I usually go for relaxing and not mainstream. Although it's not really originality that's the issue a lot of times. Right now I'm watching Natsume Yuujinchou, which has possibly the most unoriginal premise ever (loner boy sees spirits), but each story in it has a lot of meaning, and while it's no Mushishi I still enjoy it. And I've been meaning to catch up on Rideback, which sort of mixes mecha and ballet, and from the first two episodes it seemed really great. Also the art style is not ~*~moe~*~ which is more than you can ask for these days :/ oh wait I forgot it had this really obnoxious squeaky voiced character. so much for that?
Anyway, there's good stuff out there, you just have to really dig. There's a lot more manga out there though, and it's a bit easier to dig through once you get past the hyped up stuff.
We should make an anime/manga recommendation thread or something
