Dir en Grey

They deserve a thread.

They were the first japanese band I was introduced to.
A friend sent me some songs with them and Malice Mizer...
I got stuck on Diru! xD
And well... I guess I have them to thank for helping me find Mucc.

Anyways!
They're an awesome band according to me.
They have a special place in my heart and some of their songs just takes my breath away...
And they're really nice live!

I don't like the direction that they'd been heading in (Marrow of the Bone... wtff.) but I still have a soft spot for their old stuff. :3

Favorites include most of the Gauze album, most of Withering to Death, and a few peppered here and there on the other ones... Biggest faves, though, are "The Final," "Cage," "Akuro no Oka," "Yurameki," .... eh I can't think of the others right now.

Memories include watching the "AnOka" video and drooling over the white guy in the video. Seen them live three times, and each time got more and more disappointing. :\ I still like them, though.

i love dir en grey. theyre still my favourite band together with Papa Roach lol. And i do like the direction theyve taken lol. Ok marrow wasnt their best album but i adore UROBOROS. Imo its one of their best!
And im addicted to seeing them live!

favorite songs.. hmm thats hard... i guess Macabre, Inconvenient Ideal, Vinushka, Akura no Oka, Bottom of Death Valley, 24kcylinder, audience killer loop, obscure, child prey, uh i dont know A LOT lol

its easier to say fav albums lol that would be Kisou and Uroboros

Memories: seeing them live 3 times, and i loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeed the last time!

I don't know, although I love they're older songs, Marrow of a bone is my favorite album!! O_o Songs like Conceived sorrow are just so beautiful!!!! <3
